When engaged in social marketing or any content-oriented marketing work, it is very important to plan the content of the next few weeks, or even months, in advance. When arranging the marketing calendar, being able to know that there will be festivals related to my industry and community in the next few months is one of the basic skills for designing marketing content. In this series of articles, I will collect some of the current month’s interesting holidays that can be used for marketing calendars, and briefly talk about my views on some specific festivals.
The interesting days in October that can be used as community posts or content topics are as follows:

10/9 : Curious Events Day
This day is designed to celebrate the mysteries and unsolved mysteries of the world, such as the Loch Ness monster or the mystery of the crop circle. It is not well-known in Taiwan but can be regarded as a fun festival, especially in recent years. Knowledge posts can get a good response on social media. If you can find the unsolved mystery related to the content of your own community, and package it into a post, it may have good results.
10/ 13 – 14 Amazon Prime Day
Amazon Prime Day, which used to be held in July, has been postponed to October this year due to the pandemic. If your own e-commerce site is listed on Amazon, then Prime Day countdown and various related promotions are absolutely indispensable.
10/20 : World Statistics Day
This is a very new holiday. The first World Statistics Day was celebrated in 2010. It is celebrated every five years and the third World Statistics Day will be celebrated this year. This holiday aims to promote the collection of statistical data and its contribution to our society. This is an official United Nations holiday. If you are interested in knowing more, you can refer to theofficial website of this holiday.If you have interesting statistics related to the community you need to operate, you can consider designing it as a community posting on this day.
10/24 : United Nations Day
10/30 : Checklist Day

This day is to promote the importance of making a list when preparing in advance. This day has a lot to do with the history of aviation in the United States. It is also a relatively unpopular holiday. Because this day happens to be the day before Halloween, if it matches the Halloween day’s post and is designed as a community post, it can ensure that the community has a certain amount of exposure and interaction before Halloween.
10/31 : Halloween
I have talked about so many festivals that can be used for community posts in October, but the post on Halloween may get the most exposure, as long as the community you operate is not too irrelevant to the content that can be produced on Halloween. Therefore, posting social posts on Halloween is almost a must.
